Terms & Conditions

1. Rental Agreement

By booking a vehicle through Karemauto, you agree to enter into a rental agreement with us. This agreement is binding once your booking is confirmed and approved by our team.

2. Driver Requirements

• The driver must be at least 21 years of age
• A valid driving license is required (minimum 2 years holding)
• A valid National ID or Passport is required for identification
• International drivers must have a valid international driving permit

3. Vehicle Usage

• The vehicle must only be driven by the registered driver(s)
• The vehicle must not be used for illegal activities
• The vehicle must not be taken outside Rwanda without prior written consent
• Smoking is strictly prohibited in all vehicles
• The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as received

4. Fuel Policy

Vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, a refueling charge will apply.

5. Insurance & Liability

• Basic insurance is included in all rentals
• The renter is liable for any damage caused by negligence or violation of terms
• A security deposit may be required and will be refunded upon safe return
• In case of accident, the renter must notify Karemauto immediately

6. Payment Terms

• Full payment is required before or at vehicle pickup
• We accept cash, mobile money, and bank transfers
• Additional charges may apply for late returns, fuel, or damages

7. Cancellation Policy

• Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup
• Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a fee
• No-shows will be charged the full rental amount

8. Late Returns

Late returns without prior notice will be charged at the daily rate plus a late fee. Please contact us if you need to extend your rental period.

9. Prohibited Use

The vehicle must not be used for racing, off-road driving (unless specified), towing, sub-letting, or any activity that may endanger the vehicle or violate local laws.
